Brian Holt
Senior Cloud Developer Advocate at Microsoft
Brian is currently working as a senior cloud developer advocate at Microsoft and he's all about developers, developers, developers. Previously he was a JavaScript engineer at Netflix, LinkedIn and Reddit. When not working, Brian finds time to teach on Frontend Masters, run his mouth on Front End Happy Hour, travel all over the world, and play with his adorable dog. Brian is currently a resident of Seattle, WA.


Chen Hui Jing
Developer Advocate at Nexmo
Chen Hui Jing is a self-taught designer and developer living in Singapore, with an inordinate love for CSS, as evidenced by her blog, that is mostly about CSS, and her tweets, which are largely about typography and the web. She used to play basketball full-time and launched her web career during downtime between training sessions. Hui Jing is currently a Developer Advocate for Nexmo, focusing on growing developer engagement around the APAC region.
Liv Erickson
Open Source Social VR Engineer
Liv is an open source software engineer developing VR applications at High Fidelity startup. In 2016, she co-founded ARVR Academy, a group dedicated to growing representation in the immersive technology industries through educational opportunities. She is the creator of Just A/VR Show, a web series dedicated to teaching virtual reality development principles, and author of the book ‘Entering the Metaverse’.


Vitaly Friedman
Creative lead at Smashing Media, Front-End/UX consultant
Vitaly Friedman loves beautiful content and does not give up easily. From Minsk in Belarus, he studied computer science and mathematics in Germany, discovered a passion for typography, writing and design. After working as a freelance designer and developer for 6 years, he co-founded Smashing Magazine, a leading online magazine dedicated to design and web development. Vitaly is the author, co-author and editor of all Smashing books. He currently works as creative lead of Smashing Magazine and front-end/UX consultant from the lovely city of Barcelona, Spain.
Niels Leenheer
Co-founder and CTO at Salonhub
Niels is a self-professed browser geek hooked on browsers ever since seeing the original Nexus browser on a NeXT Cube back in the dark ages of the internet. Niels is the creator of HTML5test.com and runs one of the world’s largest Open Device Labs. He loves procrastinating, collecting weird devices with even stranger browsers, drawing pixel art monsters and tinkering with hardware. For his day job he is CTO of Salonhub and creates web applications for hair salons.


Charlie Gerard
Creative Technologist and Software Developer at Thoughtworks
Charlie is a software developer in Sydney. She is passionate about creative coding and building interactive prototypes mixing science, art and technology. She also spends time giving back to the community by mentoring new developers, contributing to open-source projects and speaking at events.
Dan Shappir
Performance Tech Lead at Wix.com
Dan Shappir is the Performance Tech Lead at Wix, focusing on making over 100 million websites hosted on the Wix platform load and execute faster. Dan has over twenty years of software development experience, having worked on systems ranging from missile trajectory simulations to networked multi-user games to designing and building large scale Web apps. Dan holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science, and has spoken at various technical conferences around the world.


Adrian Roselli
Accessibility & UX Consultant
Adrian is a member of the W3C Web Platform Working Group, W3C ARIA Working Group, and W3C Accessibility Task Force. He’s written articles for trade journals, web sites, and participated as an author and editor on five books. In 1998 he co-founded a software development consulting firm before leaving at the start of 2016. Some may recognize Adrian from his days helping to run evolt.org, one of the first communities for web developers. Adrian has been developing for the Web since 1993.
Gil Tayar
Senior Architect at Applitools
30 years of experience have not dulled the fascination Gil Tayar has with software development. From the olden days of DOS, to the contemporary world of Software Testing, Gil was, is, and always will be, a software developer. He has in the past co-founded WebCollage, survived the bubble collapse of 2000, and worked on various big cloudy projects at Wix. His current passion is figuring out how to test software, a passion which he has turned into his main job as Evangelist and Senior Architect at Applitools.


Rebecca Hill
Senior Frontend Engineer and Team Lead
Rebecca Hill is a software engineer, team lead and international speaker, currently herding cats (aka developers) and wrangling JavaScript at WeTransfer. Originally from Auckland, New Zealand, she is now based in Amsterdam, which makes it much easier to travel to conferences around the world to share her love for software development - teaching and learning with all the amazing people in this community.
Armagan Amcalar
Senior Engineering Manager
Armagan is a public speaker, a mentor and a lecturer. He also leads Lonca, a software craftsmanship school for women engineers, and teaches JavaScript at Women Techmakers Berlin. A software architect well versed in both the backend and frontend systems, he focuses on building resilient clouds. He loves open source and is the author of cote, a library for building microservices with Node.js, among many others. In his free time, he loves to hack stuff with JavaScript, ranging from musical gadgets to brain signals processing.


Bruce Lawson
MC@YGLF
Bruce has been working in the world of web standards since 2002, which is why he looks as terrible as this. He's currently Commissioning Editor for Smashing TV at Smashing Magazine, and before that he was Deputy CTO at Opera. He's also a highly-regarded fashion blogger. Previously, he's been front-end tech lead for a large UK legal website, tutor to a princess' daughter in Thailand, a movie extra in Mumbai, a tarot card reader in Istanbul, and a musician.
